Fatma Karakülah, LL.M.

Fatma Karakülah has been a registered attorney with the Istanbul Bar since 2010 and brings extensive legal experience to her practice. Since 2023, she has been certified as a mediator, and since 2024, she has been authorized as a trademark attorney. She also holds certified English–Turkish sworn translator credentials. Beyond her legal practice, she mentors young lawyers and supports newly established law firms in their development.
She completed her undergraduate law degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2009 and earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Trade Law from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, in 2013. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in trademark law at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
With over 15 years of experience, she has deep expertise in contract law, corporate law, dispute resolution, compliance processes, and international commercial litigation. She has provided advisory services to numerous sectors including telecommunications, construction, energy, manufacturing, hospitality, media, e-commerce, transportation, and fintech.
Her primary areas of focus include:

Fatma Karakülah is an active professional in both national and international legal communities. She serves as an ISO 27001 Information Security Management System consultant and an ISO 19011 internal auditor, providing legal support to companies in certification, quality management, and regulatory compliance processes.
She earned her LL.M. with a thesis entitled “Compulsory Licensing in Pharmaceutical Products under Turkish and Swiss Patent Law” and has obtained certifications in various fields including intellectual property, competition law, banking and finance, startup law, anti-money laundering, internal auditing, cyber law, and maritime commercial law.
She has authored several articles on trademark and commercial law and is an active member of the Istanbul Bar Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Commission as well as the Continuing Professional Development Center.
As of 2025, Karakülah operates her Istanbul-based office, providing services to clients in Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, and the MENA region, effectively removing geographical barriers. Her firm, TURKIUS Law, is a member of the Worldwide Independent Lawyers League (WILL) and coordinates legal support in over 70 countries for matters involving Turkish elements.
Following her involvement in a major international banking case in Paris, she began a pre-university program in Banking and Insurance, set to graduate in August 2025.
As a mediator, she specializes in commercial disputes, labor law, and banking and finance matters, while also providing mediation services in other areas of private law.
